Accounts and campsites
We store your account email, authentication information, display name, campsite details and optional photos, membership requests, camp messages, and your latest shared location in Lovable Cloud. Registered users can search display names to add people to campsites. Camps are public by default. Owners can turn on “Hide camp from public map” so the camp's notes, photos and pinned location are available only to the owner and approved campmates, on both Festival and Satellite views. Photos are resized and re-encoded to remove embedded metadata before upload. Shared camp links reveal the camp name, but not a hidden camp's location or photos before joining. Signed-in friends can join instantly, including hidden camps when they have an invite link. Membership details are available to the member, the campsite owner, and approved crew as permitted. Previously public information may already have been seen or saved; photo links already issued can remain valid for up to one hour.
Your location
Using GPS to locate yourself does not automatically share it. Sharing starts off and requires your permission. When enabled, your latest location is uploaded at most once every 30 seconds while the map is active, and is visible only to approved members of camps where you allow sharing. The campsite visibility toggle is separate from sharing your personal GPS location. Turning sharing off removes your latest uploaded location when the connection succeeds; offline changes cannot remove a location already on the server until you reconnect.
Chat and device storage
Camp chat is restricted to campsite owners and approved members. Messages and map preferences may be saved on your device for weak-signal use. Private chat caches are separated by account and cleared on sign-out. Signing out stops new location uploads on this device. Previously shared information may already have been seen or saved by other people.
Services and retention
Lovable Cloud provides hosting and account storage. Google Maps provides live maps and receives normal map requests, such as your device's IP address and map area. Google sign-in is optional. Data stays stored until you delete it or your account. Account deletion removes your profile, owned campsites, memberships, messages and shared location from the app's active data; provider backups and security logs follow the providers' retention practices.
